The DT series water softeners, in a bi-body version, are systems made with top quality components. Made in Italy
The installed valve is the WHT Chronovolumetric, to manage regeneration by time or volume; a guarantee of robustness, ease of use, and practicality.
How a water softener works
Water softeners are systems that, thanks to the combined action of various elements, eliminate the harmful effects of limescale. This removal
can occur totally or partially, depending on the use for which the water is intended. The operation of this equipment
occurs through the use of ion exchange resins, which are regenerated using a sodium chloride solution, that is,
common salt. The regeneration of the resins can be performed via an electromechanical head by time, by volume, or manually.
What is a water softener for
Thanks to the presence of the water softener, the well-known damage caused to heating systems by limescale deposits and the consequent increase in electricity and gas consumption are eliminated.
Hard water also stains and damages chrome surfaces, wears out faucets, fills pipes, clogs boilers, water heaters,
appliances, felts laundry, and as if that were not enough, wastes soap and detergents, ultimately contributing, through the
drains, to polluting the environment with enormous quantities of phosphorus.
